DEHLER CUP, HAMBLE 2007

There were two podium places for Sanders Sails at the Hamble Dehler Cup, hosted by the Royal Southern Yacht Club this year. Ian Hayes’  Dehler 36 ‘Eye2Eye’ came out on top of the those battling for the top spots  in the racing division including the new Dehler 44 ‘Eclectric’ shipped over from Holland for the event  and the well known Deliverance. After a mix of results in the top three, Eye2Eye had the edge on the others to take a well earned 1st overall on handicap.  Sanders also succeeded in the larger, Cruising division at the Championships where with no spinnakers and mostly reaching legs, speed was key.  Brian Thompson’s Dehler 36 ‘Deity’ raced well to finish a comfortable second in the division as one of the smaller yachts in the class.
